Hickory Run Agrivillage
Opportunities

Stay above. Work below.

This is the way villages worked for a few hundred years, before we decided that was inconvenient.

The idea

In the village center at Hickory Run, some of the places for visitors sit above the shoppes. You come down the stairs in the morning and you're right in the middle of the activities. Walk upstairs in the evening after a fantastic farm-to-table dinner at a supper club, instead of ubering to a hotel.

No franchises. Not one.

We're selecting creators, not filling space.

We're choosing shopkeepers, not filling square footage. What we have in mind so far: a specialty baker, a premium butcher, an apothecary, a florist, a compounding pharmacist or a functional medicine practice, cheese and wine and charcuterie, prepared food to carry home, handmade goods, a coffee house, a wood-fired sauna and cold plunge, a strength and movement studio.

So if you make soap, or salves, or sourdough, or tinctures, or something that isn't on anybody's list, the raw material is already in the ground. Tell us what you'd open, and let's talk while we can still build the room around it.

Tell us what you're building.

The list of shoppes here isn't finished. But here's the interesting part. There's a working farm onsite growing lamb, eggs, honey, elderberry, herbs, flowers, fruit, and tallow, and most of it is worth considerably more after somebody skilled does something to it. There's a village of people who walk past your door on their way to the market. And there are plans that haven't hardened yet. We want you to be part of those conversations.

A short note each season: what's growing, what's being built, and when you can come see it.
